Greetings, people I am a Malish Wali living in NJ. Postnatal Massage was actaully done by Indian women, often a family elder. Postnatal Massage Therapy techniques were transmitted orally by Grandmothers and the like, and the benefits of Postpartum Massage were well-known for eons. These interesting helpers knew about herbs. The new Mom was aided in getting back to normal, and this healer is referred to as a Malish Wali, or "post natal massage at home Guardian." The newborn and mother both get a massage. The practices date back millenia, however in fact Indian civilization goes back even before the era historians agree upon as the start of life that would be recognizable to a modern person. I am known as Ekaja, which means the only child.
